Grading Scale & Progression Architecture

1. Conversion Table of Percentages to Letter Grades

• 90% to 100% : O (Outstanding) [GP: 10]

• 80% to below 90% : A+ (Excellent) [GP: 9]

• 70% to below 80% : A (Very Good) [GP: 8]

• 60% to below 70% : B (Good) [GP: 7]

• 50% to below 60% : B+ (Above Good) [GP: 6]

• 40% to below 50% : C (Average) [GP: 5]

• 30% to below 40% : P (Pass) [GP: 4]

• 0% to below 30% / Absent : F / AB (Fail) [GP: 0]

2. Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) & CGPA Formulas

Credit Points : Computed via multiplication metrics: Number of credits in a Course x Grade Points scored. (Every paper of 100 marks has 4 credits).

SGPA Computation : Calculated up to two decimal points: Ratio of total credit points secured in a semester and total course credits taken. Formula expression: SGPA (Si) = Σ(Ci x Gi) / ΣCi.

CGPA Computation : Overall cumulative baseline logic over all semesters of a program. Formula expression: CGPA = Σ(Ci x Si) / ΣCi.

3. Class Pass Marks & Progression Rules

In order to pass any semester, a candidate must secure at least 30% marks across each operational module.
Promotions are structural: Candidates failing in up to 2 papers can progress to the higher semester, given class attendance criteria are met.
Benefit of 1 additional grace mark is dynamically assigned inside the paper showcasing the lowest score if it helps cross the failure boundary line.
Minimum Attendance Parameter requires completing 70% of classes held across subjects taken together. Principal can relax this threshold to 65% in exceptional situations.
